A Message To Sandra Bland’s Perpetrator

Dear Mr. Chief Deputy:

Congratulations, you won. What did you win?? A number of us got together and decided you are responsible for Sandra Bland’s death. Well done. Yes, I understand that you did not arrest her. I also understand that you may have had limited to no contact with her at all.

Here is the thing: 95% of law enforcement personnel, even in the racist red states, are amazing people beyond reproach. 5% of law enforcement personnel, even in the blue states where we have our act together most of the time, are racist pigs and we would be better off if they were dead. Sadly, making things worse, the “5%” tend to cluster. Hempstead is home to such a cluster. For whatever reason, the people in your command think it is ok to do this kind of thing with or without your consent. Please notice that “suicide” and “weed causing suicide” and “answering questions two different ways” are all off the table. Trusting attorneys and prosecutors in your neck of the woods is also off the table. Red State Prosecutors come in two forms: those that can be bought and those that are so racist that you do not need to buy them. We do not expect justice the normal way.

The question is what to do about it. There are a number of options including one in development I would like to run by you. Yes, you can pick your own punishment – what a country. No, there will be no protests outside your house. I am not a peacenik. I do not like peaceniks; I do not like the songs the peaceniks sing. Ghandi was a fraud. Martin Luther King, Jr. was amazing, but nothing changed until 3 years after he died. Nelson Mandela spent how long in prison?? Peacenik methods are foolish. I suppose you can take solace in that peaceniks will be repulsed by the conclusion I wish to employ.

No, I am not interested in running another version of the Unilever/Oklahoma program. That is where we force goods produced in red states off the shelves in blue states – where we actually have cash. Unilever suffered over #Gamergate; Oklahoma is suffering over a 10 Commandments statue and that may be expanded due to comments made by the state GOP Chair made regarding Roe v. Wade. Sandra Bland was a live human and therefore deserves something with a little more flavor.

No, I do not want to talk you into a suicide. In 2001, before I got sober in 2002, I set in motion the events that led to John Oster’s suicide. It still bothers me to this day. In fact, I can tell when mania is coming on because I want to use that event as a marketing gimmick. When I start having those thoughts, I need to take Invega and slow things way down. The other thing is my Higher Power, you can think of what would happen if Jesus led a Pagan crew with Baphomet as his Lieutenant, has caused me to stop over 20 people in the last 3 years who were mid-suicide from finishing the act. Yes, if I can prevent numerous suicides I can probably cause one. However, in sobriety and mental illness recovery, I run into depressed people all the time. If I mess with the gift, it may get taken away.

No, I would rather borrow from Daa’esh. They magically recruit mentally ill people and send them out into the world to create havoc. Why can’t mentally ill recruits mess with racists?? What could go wrong?? For the record, Daa’esh is not Muslim by any stretch other than in name and they are not pursuing a Caliphate. In both cases they break too many rules.

The question is how does Daa’esh do it?? I get the first part. Talk to any Bi-Polar or Schizophrenic person and we go into maniacal glee whenever Daa’esh engages in that wild fraternity party on steroids violence they love. There is no question that a core element in Daa’esh design is a direct appeal to the mentally ill via violence. People who suffer from mental illness discuss it all the time. For some, not me, the sex slave thing also plays into the appeal. I learned a long time ago that you can get women, not little girls, to do just about anything without resorting to enslaving them.

The missing ingredient is the second part. That is where Daa’esh focuses the mentally ill person on a mission. How do they do that?? How do they do it and not have a bunch of failed experiments along the way?? For instance, your Office is on Calvit Drive. What if our mentally ill people start killing persons named Calvin?? What if they kill a former Chicago Bears kick returner?? Not very satisfying at all based on what the mission is.

Like I said, those are the lines some of us are thinking along. We have much experimentation to do. Please offer any feedback you think might be helpful. If we get lucky, the program could trend on twitter someday.
